Our venue for in person meetings is the Quaker’s Meeting Hall, 7 Victoria Terrace, above Victoria Street, Edinburgh, EH1 2JL.

Welcome to Edinburgh Writers' Club! We are a community of writers in the Edinburgh area and beyond, with an annual programme of competitions, workshops and expert speakers. Our 2023-2024 program starts on 11th September.
The Club meets in the Quaker Meeting House in the city centre for speaker-led meetings, with members' meetings held via Zoom. Usually we alternate between one speaker-led meeting in person, and one member-led meeting by Zoom, every month.
Membership is excellent value and offers the following benefits:
Nineteen meetings per year, with a varied programme of speakers covering all genres of writing.
Membership of and access to the Scottish Association of Writers (SAW) conferences and competitions.
Entry into EWC club competitions. Competitions are judged by established writers who provide feedback on entries.
Opportunity to meet fellow writers and share your work, your challenges and your successes.
Social events.
Regular updates about competitions, publishing opportunities and events.
